The make-up of you and of me, though similar in anatomy, is different enough that you and I see the same pictures in different lights. Although we could use the same word to describe what we see, my definition of that word and your definition of that word are probably are not the same. This is not to say that because you and I do not see eye to eye that we should despair that we can never understand each other. It is not about innately understanding another but about being open to learning about the other.
At first glance, it is easy to put one another in a box and think that we fully understand each other. However, even when I think about this, I realize that I do not fully understand myself. I can put my friend in a box and think that I can anticipate that person's thought on every matter of life, but how can I do that when I cannot possibly anticipate that of myself? This thinking, though understandable, should not confine us to narrow-mindedness nor cause us to forsake the idea that there is always something to learn. We are all changing, creative beings that do so at different paces and and in different ways. We are pieces of a picture that together create one image. Our lives, broken though they are, point to a common creator. Our different perspectives can be placed together like a mosaic and give us a clearer idea of the big picture created by the Artist. Each life is important and valuable. Each soul has a purpose.
Let us not confine our minds to geometry of any kind. There's more to it than that.
