Cleansing Tears: Guest post

A friend of mine, Danny Lim, responded to this post and photograph with a poem of his own. I was moved by it and now he has so graciously allowed me to share it here with you all on my blog. Enjoy!

Reflection on Tears
by Danny Lim

Eyes. Windows to the soul.
They're clouded, scarred, hurt.

Once clear, innocent, transparent.

Only to trail out in moments when emotions cannot be dammed. Must break loose for fear of erupting.

Tears flowing along the same winding path but can carry with it jubilee, hate, guilt, abuse, fear.

Things unquantifiable.
Do i not weep just like the little girl?
Can i anymore?
Or are my eyes damming themselves?
Walls for fear of showing the murky waters.
look into one another's eyes for they don't lie,
and gaze, feel, cry, and restore for you too have these.
the eyes are windows to the soul.
