Living Out Sacrifice

Thinking back to this day when so many people came together to make a difference on the south side of Chicago, I realize how very little I sacrifice today. The excuse that I don't have time, don't have the money, don't have the energy are all ready and available to be used when the opportunity arises to sacrifice something for others. I don't know about you, but for me, this is something that needs to change. There is a whole world out there.

  1. I find myself making these excuses as well. I've realized it's not the monetary value or the magnitude in which you give, but the essence itself of giving, be that a simple meal to a hungry man, or an article of clothing to a needy child. I think many of us forget how truly blessed we are in life and are content to think that we are entitled to it. Your blog is amazing and I hope you keep it up!!

  2. That's so true, it is so easy for me to forget about the needs of others. Thanks Matt.
